We are currently hiring for a leading client of ours in Industrial Automation “ Job Title: Robot Simulation and Programmer Qualification:B.E./Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I), or Mechatronics. Location: Hosur Job Description: Role Responsibilities: Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to finalize concepts and sequences. Analyze and evaluate robotic systems or prototypes. Simulate, configure, and optimize industrial robots with cycle time improvements. Identify and resolve robot and End-of-Arm-Tool (EOAT) fouling in simulations. Optimize robot paths to avoid fouling and meet cycle time goals. Prepare offline robot programs in advance of Power ON. Work with the PLC team to provide necessary tags for offline programming. Develop robot programming techniques to minimize installation time. Perform Power ON and IO checks. Install, configure, calibrate, operate, and test robotic systems. Document robotic application development and any changes made. Provide technical support for robotic systems. Write algorithms or code for specialized robotic applications. Create backups of robot programs and parameters. Debug and troubleshoot robotics programs. Follow and advocate for all safety protocols and proper use of safety equipment. Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware issues in robotic systems. Understand and validate End-Of-Arm-Tool design for specific applications. Create TCP (Tool Center Point) and work frame space (Offline and Online) for all stations. Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, grippers, ATC, PLC, servo, vision, and other control systems. Perform dry runs in various machine modes and ensure cycle time and key deliverables are met. Conduct auto mode testing with the mechanical team and components. Work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility based on customer needs. Prepare and share pre-MQ1 checklists before customer visits. Provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports and lesson-learned documents. Create documentation for application modifications and programming sequences. Travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning. Handover the project to the After-Sales and Service Department after MQ2 sign-off. Support and guide the team. Train customers in the proper operation and maintenance of robotic systems. Participate in robot safety system testing, validation, and risk assessments. Experience integrating robots with peripherals such as welding machines, grippers, ATC, and machine vision. Knowledge of safety protocols like Profisafe, DSC, and Safety IO modules. Familiarity with global industrial robot standards (e.g., ANSI-RIA, IEC). Communication protocols (ProfiNet, Ethernet IP, CC-Link, DeviceNet, ProfiBus). Expertise in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, servo, vision, and control systems. Machine testing and commissioning experience in automation. Knowledge of electrical diagrams and product/machine manuals. Strong communication skills and experience in mechanical and electrical controls design.
